The principal objectives of Shorkot Cantt food control authority:

  • Protecting public health by reducing the risk of foodborne illness

  • Protecting consumers from unsanitary, unwholesome, mislabelled or adulterated food

  • Contributing to economic development by maintaining consumer confidence in the food system and providing a sound regulatory foundation for domestic trade in food

  • Food samples are being taken (on regular basis) for optimum enforcement of various provisions of Pure Food Act in the Cantonment Areas.

    20 food samples taken on weekly basis and 500 shop keeprt/hotal challan during the last 7 months & recoved 0.1(M) on account of food compsition.

    Response and feedback for Public Analyst is encouraging.
